THE AMERICAN BACKFLOW & PLUMBING STORY
American Backflow & Plumbing Services was founded in 1981 by brothers Tony and Brian Johnston. After operating out of Tony’s garage for their first two years, the company moved to a rented space. Now, almost 45 years later, the shop has found its “forever home” in Southeast Portland. After a while, the company grew– with brother Mike Johnston, and brother (in –law) Kyle Harms joining the team.
ABPS’ vision has always remained the same – to provide uncompromised service and value to our customers. Our company operates based on the “Golden Rule” and has sought to implement that not only in our interactions with customers, but with our employees as well.
American Backflow & Plumbing Services is dedicated to the highest quality of annual backflow testing, repair, and replacement - delivered with trust, integrity, and passion.
Today, American Backflow continues to operate in Portland but is honored to serve the Vancouver and Southern Washington Area, Central and Eastern Oregon – and our newest additions; the Oregon Coast, and the Seattle area, including the I-5 and I-405 corridor. Our team continues to grow, and we are lucky to work with such incredible clients.
